The small, low-cost fix for loose, rippling or bowed screen: replacing the dried-out spline and re-tensioning the panel before a little slack turns into a full tear that costs a good deal more to put right. Catching a panel at this stage is the easiest money you will ever save on a cage.

What moves the price
A handful of honest factors decide where a repair lands inside those ranges. There is no padding and no mystery, just the same things any straight-shooting crew would point to when they walk your cage and add up the work:
How much screen. One panel or the whole cage, standard ceiling height or a two-story pool enclosure that needs extra setup, staging and time to reach the top panels safely. More screen and more height simply mean more material and more careful labor.
The mesh you choose. Standard 18-by-14 fiberglass screen is included in the price. No-see-um mesh, pet-resistant screen and privacy screen each cost a little more per panel, but they solve problems that standard mesh cannot, from tiny biting insects near the water to dogs and cats that lean on the lower panels.
Hardware & access. Rusted-in fasteners, a seized door, a super-gutter running along the top or tight access along a pool deck all add time to the job, and we will tell you up front when a repair has one of those wrinkles instead of surprising you with it once the work is already done.

Every enclosure is a different size, screen type and condition, and re-screening a few panels is a very different job from a full cage re-screen. The ranges show where most jobs land so you are not walking in blind, but your exact, written price comes from a free on-site screen check where we measure the real panels and look at the real frame, spline and hardware. You approve that number before any work starts, so the range is only ever a starting point for the conversation, never the final bill. If your cage is smaller or in better shape than average, your price can easily come in under the range shown.
The biggest factors are the number and size of the panels, the screen you choose (standard, no-see-um, pet-resistant or privacy), the height and access of the cage, and whether the spline, hardware or door parts also need replacing while we are there. A tall pool cage takes more setup and staging than a low lanai, and fasteners that have rusted into the frame take longer to work loose than clean ones. We walk you through each line on the estimate so you can see exactly what is driving the price and where you have choices, such as tackling only the panels that are failing now and leaving the sound ones alone.
