What does screen repair cost?
Single panels typically run $45 to $90 each, a full pool-cage re-screen usually lands between $1,200 and $3,000 or more depending on the size and height of the cage, and screen-door repairs generally fall in the $75 to $160 range. What moves the number is the square footage of screen, how many stories the cage is, the type of mesh you choose, and whether any framing or hardware needs attention while we are there. Because every enclosure on the Suncoast is a little different, we do not quote blind over the phone. Your exact price comes from a free on-site screen check, and you always approve it in writing before we start.
Do you fix just one panel, or the whole cage?
Either one. If a single panel took a hit from a falling branch or a stray ball, we will happily re-screen just that section and match the new mesh to the color and weave of what you already have so the repair blends in. If the screen has aged out all over, gone brittle and started tearing in several places at once, a full re-screen of the enclosure is usually the smarter spend than chasing one panel at a time. When we come out for the free check we will tell you honestly which situation you are in, and we will never push a full re-screen when a single panel is all it really needs.
How fast can you come out?
Most repairs are scheduled and finished within the week, and a lot of them are done in a single visit once we have the right mesh and hardware on the truck. Storm-damage calls get moved to the front of the line during hurricane season, because an open panel lets rain, leaves and bugs straight into the lanai. When you reach out, we will give you a realistic day rather than a vague window, and if we are running early we will ask before showing up ahead of schedule. We cover the whole area from Palmetto and Bradenton down through Sarasota and out to the barrier islands, so we are rarely far away.
Do I need to be home?
Usually not, as long as we can safely reach the enclosure and the pool deck or side yard is accessible. Plenty of our Manatee and Sarasota County customers are snowbirds or at work while we handle the repair, and we are comfortable working on an empty property once we have confirmed access. We will go over exactly what we need when we schedule, whether that is a gate code, an unlocked screen door, or simply clear access along the side of the house. Either way we treat the yard with respect, clean up every scrap of old screen and spline, and leave the area exactly as tidy as we found it.
Can you keep no-see-ums out?
Yes, and the real fix is a mesh upgrade rather than just patching the old screen. Standard 18x14 pool screen is simply too open to stop the Suncoast's tiniest biters, so on the calm evenings when the no-see-ums come off the water and the mangroves they walk right through it. A tighter no-see-um mesh, usually a 20x20 weave, fitted properly to your existing frames is what actually keeps them out. It does trade a little airflow for that protection, which is a fair deal for most people who want to use the lanai at dusk. We can re-screen the whole cage in the tighter mesh or just the panels closest to where you sit.
Do you handle storm and insurance claims?
We do, and storm work is a big part of what we handle here on the Gulf coast. After a blow we prioritize these calls, re-screen the blown-out panels, straighten or replace what the wind bent, and get the enclosure closed back up so rain and debris stay out. We also photograph the damage before we touch it and document our repairs as we go, so you have clean before-and-after records to hand your insurance adjuster. We are a repair company, not an adjuster or a public claims firm, so we cannot file the claim for you, but the documentation we provide makes your side of the paperwork a lot easier.
Do you build new pool cages?
No, and that is on purpose. We are a repair company, so we fix, re-screen and restore the enclosures, lanais and screen doors you already have rather than building new cages from scratch. That focus is exactly why your repair never sits behind a big construction project on the schedule. If your existing cage is structurally sound but the screen, spline, hardware or doors have seen better days, that is squarely our work. If you genuinely need a brand new enclosure engineered and permitted from the ground up, that is a job for a licensed aluminum contractor, and we are glad to tell you plainly when that is the honest answer.
